Leadership & governance

Functional leadership for a community-rooted organisation.

NGI prioritises active programme leadership, women’s participation, youth decision-making and clear accountability over ceremonial positions.

How NGI is governed

The General Assembly is the organisation’s highest decision-making body. A seven-member Executive Committee manages approved work between Assembly meetings and remains accountable for programmes, finances, safeguarding, records and partnerships.

  • Three-year leadership term
  • Internal leadership bracket of 18–35 years
  • Deliberate promotion of women’s leadership
  • Technical advice without replacing youth decision-making
