Why families and WASH belong together
For children and girls, WASH is education, dignity, safety and health. Family decisions influence attendance, protection and opportunity. This programme brings practical household and community action into NGI’s nurturing mission.
What we do
NGI works with parents, guardians, schools, health workers, faith leaders and local structures.
- Parent dialogues on education, protection and discipline without violence
- Home visits where children or families face serious vulnerability
- Child-protection awareness and recognised referral pathways
- Handwashing, safe-water, sanitation and menstrual-hygiene promotion
- Family savings, backyard gardening and livelihood awareness
- Community reflection meetings with practical local action points
Working through trusted connections
NGI does not replace health, protection or government services. We help families understand concerns, seek appropriate help and connect with the CDO, health facilities, schools, local councils and police child-and-family protection structures when necessary.
