Programme 02

Girls’ Empowerment, Protection & Dignity

Creating safe, respectful spaces where girls strengthen confidence, understand protection, manage menstrual health with dignity and remain connected to learning.

Why this programme matters

Menstrual challenges, heavy domestic work, unsafe relationships, early marriage, pregnancy, exploitation and limited mentorship can interrupt a girl’s education and confidence. Girls need support that protects dignity rather than blaming vulnerability.

02

What we do

Responsible female mentors and youth leaders guide safe, age-appropriate and confidential activities.

  • Girls’ safe-space clubs and girl-to-girl mentorship
  • Menstrual health, hygiene, dignity and privacy sessions
  • Life skills, communication and self-protection learning
  • Teenage pregnancy and early-marriage prevention dialogues
  • Parent engagement on education, workload, protection and support
  • Respectful referral support for girls facing serious risks
03

Protection comes first

All mentors follow a Code of Conduct. NGI avoids unsafe or secretive contact with children, protects confidentiality and uses recognised referral pathways when a girl needs specialised help.
